1. Scope

These terms of service govern the use of the MatchFlicks app (hereinafter "App"). By using the App, you accept these terms.

2. Contract Formation

The usage contract is formed through registration and confirmation of the magic link or through OAuth login.

3. Service Scope

MatchFlicks offers, among others, the following functions:

  • Swipe-based movie and series recommendations
  • Personal watchlist for liked content
  • Group functions for shared viewing
  • Integration with streaming providers (TMDB data)
  • Multilingual support (German/English)

4. User Obligations

You commit to:

  • Provide truthful information during registration
  • Keep your access credentials confidential
  • Not misuse the app
  • Not share illegal content
  • Respect other users

5. Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted use. Content and functions may be adjusted or temporarily suspended.

6. Liability

We are only liable for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent behavior. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent legally permissible.

7. Copyright

Movie information is obtained, among others, from publicly accessible sources (e.g., TMDB) and used exclusively for display in the app; no personal data is transmitted to these services. App content and design are protected by copyright.

8. Termination

You can terminate the contract at any time by deleting your account in the app settings. We reserve the right to block accounts in case of violation of the terms of service.

9. Changes to the Terms of Service

We reserve the right to adjust these terms of service. We will inform you of significant changes via email.

10. Final Provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
